Spain’s PM Sánchez urges EU to suspend cooperation with “Israel”

BRUSSELS, June 26 (YPA) – Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez criticized the European Union during statements to journalists in Brussels, accusing it of applying “double standards”, regarding the human rights of Palestinians in its dealings with ” Israel”.

This came during his remarks to journalists in Brussels.

He called on the European Union to immediately suspend its cooperation agreement with Israel.

Sánchez said Gaza was in a “catastrophic situation of genocide” and urged the European Union to immediately suspend its cooperation deal with “Israel”.

He urged the EU to take concrete action by suspending all cooperation agreements, including trade and security ties, to pressure Israel into stopping the violence and protecting civilians.

Last month, Sánchez  described “Israel” as a “genocidal state” and said Spain “does not do business with such a country.
