Russia FM warns US of providing direct military aid to “Israel”

MOSCOW, June 18 (YPA) – Russia’s Foreign Ministry warned on Wednesday the United States against providing direct military aid to “Israel”.

The Russian news agency Interfax quoted Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov as saying that direct US military aid to “Israel” could radically destabilize the situation in the Middle East.

“Moscow is in contact with both Israel and Iran,” Ryabkov added.

Earlier today, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned of an imminent nuclear catastrophe in the Middle East due to daily strikes on Iranian nuclear infrastructure.

“Israel launches several missile strikes daily on Iran’s peaceful civilian nuclear infrastructure, which are under the control of International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors stationed there,” Zakharova told Sputnik on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

She went onto say: “We must, based on the statement issued on Tuesday by the Russian Foreign Ministry, realize that we are millimeters away from disaster.”
