Coalition government imposes new price of fuel in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, June 17 (YPA) – The coalition-affiliated government imposed a new increase in fuel prices in the oil-rich Hadramout governorate, on Tuesday, exacerbating the citizens’ living conditions.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that fuel stations began selling a 20-liter gallon of gasoline at 28,400 riyals, an increase of 1,200 riyals over the previous price, according to a circular from the coalition-affiliated oil company.

They explained that the price increase exacerbates the living conditions in Hadramout and the rest of the southern governorates amid a sharp collapse in the purchasing power of the local currency and the crazy rise in food prices.

Activists considered the gasoline price increase to increase the living burdens on citizens and burden them, amid calls for the continuation of angry protests in Mukalla, the governorate center, due to the power and water outages.
