At least 55,432 Palestinians killed, 128,923 wounded in ongoing Israeli attacks

GAZA, June 16 (YPA) – At least 55,432 Palestinians have been and 128,923 others wounded in the Gaza Strip as result of the ongoing Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023.

The Gaza-based Ministry of Health explained in a statement on Monday that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 68 martyrs and 182 wounded in the space of 24 hours, as a result of the ongoing aerial and artillery bombardment, as well as gunfire from vehicles and drones across the Gaza Strip.

The statement noted that the death toll from attacks on Palestinians attempting to obtain humanitarian aid from alleged US-Israeli aid centers has risen to 338 martyrs, with 2,831 wounded, since May 27.

This came as the occupation authorities have tightly closed Gaza’s crossings to trucks carrying supplies and aid, which have been piling up at the border since March 2.
