TEHRAN, June 14 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirmed on Saturday that the Israeli aggression against Iran represented a flagrant violation of international law and the sovereignty of Iran.
He emphasized that his country would exercise its legitimate right to respond decisively, calling on the international community to condemn the attack and hold Israel accountable.
Araghchi said that the ongoing indirect negotiations with the United States in light of the brutal Israeli aggression might be unjustified, given Washington’s direct support for the attack.
“The aggression against Iran is a flagrant violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Araghchi added. “His country will exercise its legitimate rights in accordance with international resolutions and respond firmly to the Israeli aggression.”
The Iran’s official considered the attack on Iranian nuclear facilities a crossing of all red lines and a flagrant violation of international law, noting that the international community should be required to condemn this unprecedented and dangerous aggression.
Araghchi pointed out that the Iranian people expect countries that support peace and the rule of law to act to pressure Israel and halt its violations.
“The Israeli entity poses a serious threat to regional security and international peace, and all countries must condemn this aggression,” he clarified.
This came in a phone calls with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov, and European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas, as well to Ararat Mirzoyan, Armenian Foreign Minister.
