GAZA, June 11 (YPA)- The death toll from Israeli gunfire on people waiting for aid near the “Netzarim” checkpoint in the central Gaza Strip has risen to 30, Palestinian sources reported, citing medical officials.
A source at Al-Shifa Medical Complex stated that “30 people were killed after Israeli forces opened fire on aid seekers near the Netzarim checkpoint.”
Earlier, Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat reported that as of 7:00 a.m., it had received 7 martyrs and 112 injured as a result of Israeli targeting of civilian gatherings around the so-called “Netzarim” checkpoint in central Gaza.
Four citizens were also killed and others wounded when an Israeli drone bombed a tent housing displaced persons in the Mawasi area of the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Israeli aircraft bombed, along with artillery shelling, the Qizan Abu Rashwan and Al-Batn Al-Sameen areas in Khan Yunis.
On Tuesday, 20 civilians were killed and 124 others were injured by Israeli gunfire during aid distribution near the “Netzarim” checkpoint.
