TAIZ, June 08 (YPA) -Satellite images showed the construction of a new airstrip by Saudi-led coalition forces south of the coastal city of Mocha, near the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait in Taiz province.
According to photos obtained by the Yemen Press Agency, the airstrip—recently constructed over the past few weeks—was built in the Bani al-Hakam area near the coastal road linking Aden and Mocha.
No official confirmation has been issued regarding the entity behind the project, though the airstrip is located at coordinates (45.5118, 12.8751), near the strategic Kahboub Mountains, where UAE- and Saudi-backed groups maintain a presence.
