SANAA, June 05 (YPA)-The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning on Thursday expected hot to extremely hot weather in deserts, plains, and coastal areas, along with variable-intensity rainfall across several provinces over the next 24 hours.
According to the weather bulletin issued by the center, hot to extremely hot and dry conditions are expected in desert and coastal plain areas, with maximum temperatures ranging between 38°C and 44°C.
Meanwhile, hot and humid conditions are expected along coastal regions, with maximum temperatures ranging between 34°C and 38°C.
Rainfall of varying intensity, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, is likely over scattered areas in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, western Sanaa, Al-Mahwit, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Al-Dhalea, Taiz, and the highlands of Lahj.
The center warned residents in desert and coastal plain areas about the risks associated with the high temperatures and urged them to avoid direct exposure to sunlight during the afternoon hours.
It also advised citizens in rain-affected areas to remain cautious of flash floods in valleys and flood-prone areas, and to avoid crossing or staying in these locations during and after rainfall.
