Ansarullah official condemns US veto on Gaza ceasefire resolution

SANAA, June 05 (YPA) – A senior official from Ansarullah Political Bureau has strongly condemned the United States for vetoing a United Nations Security Council resolution that called for an end to the genocide in Gaza, lifting restrictions on aid, and ending the blockade

Mohammed Al-Farrah, a member of the group’s political bureau, told Yemen’s state news agency SABA that the US veto underscores Washington’s role as a key partner in the killing and destruction in Gaza.

He accused the US of shielding “Israel” and supporting its military campaign, while hiding behind slogans of freedom, justice, and human rights.

Al-Farrah argued that American support goes beyond politics and diplomacy, saying it provides “Israel” with the legal cover to continue its actions, as well as advanced, highly destructive weapons. Without this backing, he claimed, the crimes would have stopped long ago.

He also criticized the UN Security Council’s inability to halt the conflict, which has dragged on for nearly two years, saying it reflects the Council’s failure to uphold justice or maintain global security.

According to Al-Farrah, the UN has become little more than a platform for advancing US policies, dividing up global interests, and legitimizing crimes and blockades.

“The people of our region must realize that liberation from Zionist aggression and US domination will not come through these international institutions,” he said. “They’ve stood by and watched one of the worst campaigns of mass killing and starvation without lifting a finger.”

He concluded by calling for decisive, practical action in support of Gaza, saying the only way forward is to confront both the US and” Israel”  enemies.
