ADEN, June 04 (YPA) – About 40 civil society organizations issued on Wednesday an urgent appeal to the Security Council and the international community to rescue the disaster situation in the city of Aden, south of Yemen.
In a joint statement, the organizations called for immediate UN intervention to save Aden from a potential humanitarian disaster.
They warned of a comprehensive collapse that threatens the lives of the population, as service, health, and economic crises escalate to unprecedented levels.
The situation in the city of Aden in southern Yemen has been become increasingly dire due to the total collapse of services and the deterioration of the living and health conditions of citizens, in light of the complete absence of the coalition-affiliated Aden government, which is distancing itself from finding any real solutions to improve the situation and stop the collapse.
