SANAA, May 31 (YPA) -A member of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Abdul-Malik Al-Ajri, refuted on Saturday the statements made by the head of the pro-coalition Presidential leadership council, Rashad al-Alimi, regarding civilian aircraft.
Al-Ajri said in a post on X that there was no direct communication from Sanaa with the coalition-backed Aden government.
He explained that Sanaa didn’t directly or indirectly speak to Aden government or make a threat.
Earlier, in an interview with Russia Today, Al-Alimi raised allegations of undisclosed mediation with Sanaa regarding the return of the last plane of Yemenia Airlines to Aden to transport pilgrims following the Israeli bombing of Sanaa airport, which three civilian aircraft were destroyed.
Al-Alimi said that Sanaa responded by threatening to bomb Aden airport and other airports in the southern provinces, a claim Sanaa refuted.
