UK suspends arms sales to “Israel”

WORLD, May 30 (YPA) – British Foreign Secretary David Lammy stated that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip has reached unacceptable levels, emphasizing that the United Kingdom has taken concrete steps to mitigate the humanitarian impact of the ongoing war.

Lammy expressed deep regret over the deaths of children in Gaza and the inability of civilians to access essential aid, describing the situation as “unacceptable.”

His remarks reflect growing international concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave.

He also confirmed that the UK has suspended arms sales that could be used in Gaza, citing “the risk of violating international humanitarian law.”

These remarks and actions are likely to spark reactions at both regional and international levels and could encourage other nations to take similar steps to restrict arms supplies to Israeli occupation forces, aiming to safeguard civilians and uphold international humanitarian law.
