Hamas: Zionist settlers’ incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque are a dangerous escalation

GAZA, May 25 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, considered that the increasing incursions by Zionist settlers and Temple Mount groups into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and their public performance of religious rituals, including the epic prostration, constitute a dangerous escalation of Israeli aggression and an attempt to impose a Judaization reality in Al-Quds (Jerusalem).

The movement said in a press release on Sunday evening that the events at Al-Aqsa Mosque represent a systematic religious war aimed at obliterating the city’s Islamic identity, stressing that these attacks will not change the fact that Al-Aqsa Mosque is a purely Muslim right and will not legitimize the presence of the occupation and settlers there.

Hamas warned of the repercussions of the repeated incursions and violations, describing their continuation as a provocation to Muslim sentiments and an insult to the role of the Islamic nation in protecting Al-Quds and its holy sites.

It called on Palestinians in the West Bank, Al-Quds, and the occupied territories to take action to stop the aggression and urged Arabs and Muslims to confront attempts to Judaize Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Al-Aqsa Mosque has witnessed a significant increase in mass incursions by settlers under the protection of the occupation forces. Jerusalemite institutions consider this a dangerous escalation aimed at dividing the mosque in time and space.
