Colombian President urges end to Gaza genocide

WORLD, May 23 (YPA) – Colombian President Gustavo Petro on Friday called for an end to the genocide in Gaza.

In a post on the platform “X”, Petro stated that 14,000 children are on the brink of starvation in Gaza, emphasizing that humanity “cannot remain a silent witness to genocide, because humanity itself will come to an end.”

The Israeli occupation continues its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, leading to dozens of deaths and injuries daily.

The Ministry of Health in the Strip announced that the death toll has risen to 53,822 martyrs and 122,382 injured since the beginning of the aggression in October 2023.

As the genocide and starvation persist, several European countries have voiced strong condemnation, warning Israel that they may reconsider partnership agreements and take tangible steps in response.
