GAZA, May 21 (YPA) – Israeli occupation’s air and ground attacks have killed at least 82 Palestinians and wounded another 262, in the past 24 hours alone, according to Gaza-based health ministry on Wednesday.
The ministry confirmed in a statement that death toll in the Strip has mounted up 53,655, with more than 121,950 people wounded, since the Israeli aggression began.
The statement added that a number of martyrs and wounded remain under the rubble of destroyed homes and on the streets, amid extreme difficulties being faced by ambulance and civil defense crews in reaching them due to the heavy shelling.
The occupation resumed its military campaign on 18 March after a brief ceasefire that it violated. Since then, the ministry reports, 3,509 Palestinians have been killed and 9,909 wounded as a result of bombardment and ground offensives intensify.
