Israeli occupation signs $55 million deal to buy advanced systems

ALQUDS, May 20 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation’s Ministry of Defense has signed a $55 million agreement with Elbit Systems to equip its combat helicopters with advanced protection systems.

Ministry said in a statement that the agreement included equipping the Black Hawk (Kara Şahin) and Apache (Apaçi) helicopters with advanced systems for detecting and intercepting threats, in addition to jamming and deception technologies to counter guided missiles.

The new systems enable helicopters to automatically detect and neutralize potential attacks, enhancing the Air Force’s ability to conduct operations in high-threat environments.

According to the statement, the contract is being expected to last for one year, as part of the Ministry of Defense’s plan to modernize its air capabilities in light of developments on the ground.
