LONDON, May 20 (YPA) – The foreign ministers of 22 countries, including France, Germany, Britain, Canada, Japan, and Australia, on Monday called on “Israel” to re-permit the full and immediate entry of aid into Gaza Strip under the supervision of the United Nations and non-governmental organizations.
A joint statement issued by the German Foreign Ministry said that the United Nations and humanitarian organizations “cannot support” the new mechanism for delivering aid to Gaza adopted by “Israel.”
In this context, the French president and the British and Canadian prime ministers warned that they would not “stand idly by” in the face of the “reprehensible actions” of the Israeli government headed by Benjamin Netanyahu in Gaza, threatening with “concrete steps” if it did not halt its offensive on Gaza and allow humanitarian aid to enter.
