Severe water crisis hits Taiz city

TAIZ, May 19 (YPA) – The water crisis in Taiz is worsening, with the price of a water tanker in the city reaching 100,000 Yemeni riyals today due to its unavailability, according to local sources.

Videos circulated on social media today showed long queues of citizens waiting to receive water, revealing the extent of the disaster the city is experiencing amid the absence of the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition from the scene and its failure to offer any solutions to the problem.

The city’s residents hold the pro-coalition government fully responsible for this crisis, asserting that the crisis exposes the ugliness of this government’s negligence and corruption.
