Qassam releases footage of complex operation in Rafah

GAZA, May 14 (YPA) – Hamas’ armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, released footage showing a complex operation involving a series of ambushes against Israeli occupation forces in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Brigades reported, via its Telegram channel, that the ambush took place on May 8, targeting a force of Israeli soldiers as they advanced into the al-Tannour neighborhood east of Rafah.

The operation consisted of Palestinian snipers and fighters using anti-tank rockets and a highly explosive device against the Israeli forces, resulting in the deaths and injuries of a number of soldiers, as shown in the video footage.

Observers believed that the occupation forces’ reticence in announcing their losses in Rafah is part of a media policy aimed at limiting the morale-boosting impact of resistance operations, particularly in light of the ongoing state of attrition in the southern Gaza Strip.
