Israeli force ambushed in Gaza unique operation

GAZA, May 11 (YPA) – Saraya Al-Quds, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced on Sunday it had carried out a complex operation targeting an Israeli force east of the Shuja’iyya neighborhood in Gaza City.

In a military statement, Saraya affirmed that the operation resulted in deaths and injuries among the occupation soldiers.

The statement added that the occupation forces bombarded the scene of the operation intensively with rockets and shells following the attack, and another force from the reserve brigade known as “Jerusalem Brigade”, which arrived to evacuate the wounded, was detonated by a previously prepared “Thaqib” explosive device, resulting in the death and injury of a number of Israeli soldiers.

A field commander in Al-Quds Brigades affirmed that the operation came as part of a response to the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
