Israeli occupation forces penetrate in south of Syrian Quneitra, arrest two people

SYRIA, May 10 (YPA) – Syrian media reported on Saturday that Israeli occupation forces carried out a ground incursion into the town of Saida al-Hanout, located in the Quneitra countryside in the south of the country. This comes amid ongoing Israeli attacks on Syrian territory.

Local sources indicated that occupation forces carried out a raid and arrest operation in the town, targeting two civilians who were taken into the occupied Golan Heights.

According to Syrian media, occupation forces released the two detainees after hours of interrogation regarding their movements in the area and their whereabouts.

The Israeli incursion comes one day after occupation forces raised the Israeli flag for the first time over Tal al-Ahmar al-Gharbi in southern Quneitra, amid a state of anticipation and tension prevailing in the region.
