British MPs demand verification of continued arms exports to Israel

SANAA, May 10 (YPA) – Dozens of members of parliament in the British House of Commons, called on Foreign Secretary David Lammy to investigate reports of the continued export of military equipment to Israel despite the partial suspension approved by the British government.

Forty members of parliament said in a letter to Minister Lammy: “We fear that Parliament has been misled after the suspension of major arms export licenses to Israel.”

The British MPs’ letter came two days after a report issued by three human rights organizations revealed details of British arms exports to Israel, accompanied by official documents from the Israeli Tax Authority.

The report, published last Wednesday, highlighted the continued supply of large-scale military shipments from the beginning of the war on Gaza in October 2023 until March 2025.
