Hodeida port resumes receiving goods, vessels unloading their cargo smoothly
HODEIDA, May 07 (YPA) – The Minister of Transport and Logistics in the Sanaa government, Mohammed Ayash Quhim, confirmed on Wednesday that ships and vessels are unloading their cargo smoothly, thanks to the efforts of workers and technical and navigational teams at the port of Hodeida.
During his inspection visit to the port’s operations, Quhim praised the rapid completion of the repairs of the port’s docks, explaining that work on the remaining sections would be completed this week. He also described the targeting of Yemen’s infrastructure and capabilities by the Zionist enemy as evidence of impotence, failure, and bankruptcy.
In the same context, the chairman of the board of directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Engineer Zaid Al-Washli, confirmed that food supplies and goods are arriving regularly at the port of Hodeida. He explained that no delays or price increases have been recorded, as all ships are unloading their cargoes without interruption, confirming that the receiving and unloading schedules are proceeding normally and regularly.
For his part, Hodeida’s Governor Abdullah Atifi pointed to the port’s continued operation, praising the competence of the technical teams and staff. He also considered the Zionist-US enemy’s targeting of Hodeida Port and the Bajel Cement Factory a war crime that warrants condemnation.
