GAZA, May 07 (YPA) – Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the detonation of a minefield targeting an Israeli force in the Al-Farahin area, east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.
“Our fighters managed to detonate a pre-prepared minefield targeting a Zionist armored force, resulting in casualties and injuries on Al-Awda Street, east of the Farahin area, east of Khan Younis, ” Al-Qassam Bridges said in a statement.
Subsequently, our fighters shelled the area with several mortar rounds, and our fighters observed a destroyed vehicle being towed and the landing of helicopter aircraft for evacuation, according to the statement.
Two days ago, the Al-Qassam Brigades carried out a “complex ambush” in the same area, targeting an Israeli engineering unit with an anti-personnel shell and then engaged in close-quarters combat using automatic weapons.
The ambush also targeted two Israeli tanks and a military bulldozer with “Yassin 105” shells, leading to the destruction and disabling of the targeted vehicles.
Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza continue to defend the Palestinian people and holy sites as part of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, now on its 579th day, in response to the Zionist enemy’s crimes and massacres against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
