Aden government minister reveals coalition’s relationship with collapse of services

ADEN, April 30 (YPA) – A minister in the coalition-backed Aden government revealed on Tuesday the secrets behind the electricity crisis and the lack of teachers’ salaries in Aden and other southern provinces.

Minister of Local Administration in the Aden government, Abdul Raqib Fatah, said in a post on X that “the electricity crisis in Aden in particular and the failure of Aden government to establish a successful administrative model, in addition to the general failure to meet teachers’ demands are all indicators confirming the allies’ abandonment of the legitimate government.”

He added that the government had to confront economic challenges that target the people in Aden and the rest of the southern regions.

The minister Fatah stated an effective government should be based on competence, a clear vision with specific tasks, and a practical approach to combating corruption by bringing corrupt individuals to justice.

The coalition-affiliated Aden government has been unable to secure a fuel shipment for power plants in Aden and implement measures to mitigate the ongoing collapse of the local currency against foreign currencies.
