DHAMAR, April 27 (YPA) – Stations at the Center for Monitoring and Study of Earthquakes and Volcanoes in Dhamar province recorded three earthquakes off the Yemeni coast in the Gulf of Aden on Sunday.
Engineer Muhammad Hussein Al-Houthi, head of the center, explained that the stations recorded the first earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 in the Gulf of Aden at 6:12 am, and the second with a magnitude of 3.3 at 6:43 am.
A third tremor with a magnitude of 3.7 was recorded at 1:36 pm in the Gulf of Aden, and a fourth with a magnitude of 4.3 at 1:33 pm near the coast of the Sultanate of Oman.
These events followed four earthquakes of varying magnitudes, ranging from 3.5 to 4.7 on the Richter scale, recorded on Saturday in the same area.
