Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi: Yemen is at heart of regional battle…US-led Israeli aggression on Gaza aims to displace its people
SANAA, April 24 (YPA) – Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi confirmed on Thursday that the Israeli enemy is continuing its comprehensive aggression against the Gaza Strip, relying on a policy of genocide and targeting all aspects of life, amid a stifling siege entering its eighth week.
He emphasized that this brutal course is being orchestrated with direct American sponsorship and support.
In a televised speech on the Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip and the latest developments in the region, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi said that the Israeli occupation is preventing the entry of food and medicine, and bombing infrastructure and homes.
Meanwhile, the aggression against Palestinian prisoners inside its prisons continues, with one prisoner being martyred this week, bringing the number of martyrs from the prisoner movement to 64 since the start of the aggression on October 7.
Sayyed Abdulmalik indicated that direct military confrontations in the Gaza Strip remain limited due to the enemy’s fear of getting involved in ground confrontations with resistance factions, especially the Al-Qassam Brigades, which have carried out qualitative ambushes in recent days, most notably the “Kasr al-Sayf ambush” east of Beit Hanoun, which resulted in deaths and injuries among Israeli soldiers.
Targeting Al-Aqsa and the displacement of Gaza
Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi warned that the real goal of the aggression is not to liberate prisoners, as the occupation promotes, but rather to displace the Palestinians from Gaza with a clear American push, pointing out that the Netanyahu government turned against the previous prisoner exchange agreement with the encouragement of the Trump administration, which publicly supported the option of mass displacement.
He pointed out that the occupation is escalating its settlement expansion in the West Bank and seeking to dismantle the Palestinian camps there, while incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque continue, culminating in the so-called “Jewish Passover” holiday, when more than 7,000 settlers stormed the mosque’s courtyards.
Yemen is strongly present in the regional battle
In the context of supporting the Palestinian cause, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi announced that during the past week, the Yemeni armed forces carried out seven missile and drone bombing operations against Israeli sites, in addition to nine naval clashes against American aircraft carriers and ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
He pointed out that the Yemeni air defenses shot down three American MQ-9 reconnaissance aircraft, bringing the number of aircraft shot down during the month to seven, stressing that Israeli and American activity in the Red Sea completely stopped as a result of these operations.
Lebanon and Syria are under fire
Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi touched on the Israeli aggression against southern Lebanon, where civilians are subjected to bombing and assassinations on an almost daily basis, praising the steadfastness of Hezbollah, which he described as “the real deterrence factor.” He also noted that the occupation continues its aggression in Syria, particularly in the south, through raids and arbitrary arrests of civilians.
A message to the nation
Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi concluded his speech by emphasizing that surrendering to the Israeli enemy is a disastrous choice. He called on the Arab and Islamic peoples to realize the extent of the conspiracy against Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestine and to confront the Zionist-American project, which he described as “a danger to all of humanity.” He pointed out that the soft war that targets human consciousness and conscience is no less dangerous than military bombardment.
