ADEN, April 24 (YPA) – Angry military protests erupted on Wednesday outside the gate of Maashiq Palace, the headquarters of the coalition-backed Aden government in the southern Yemeni city of Aden.
A number of graduates of the second batch of the Military College university students staged a protest rally in front of the palace gate in the Crater district, refusing to receive their financial dues for more than a year.
They stressed that being deprived of their entitlements has exacerbated their suffering and impacted their living and family stability due to the economic and service collapse.
The protesters called on the Saudi-formed Presidential Leadership Council and Aden government to approve financial support for all graduates of the class, disburse any outstanding financial aid due since their graduation in February 2024.
The participants vowed to take peaceful escalation measures until their demands be met.
