OCCUPIED PALESTINE, April 17 (YPA) – The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society announced the death of prisoner Musab Hassan Adili, 20, from the village of Osarin, south of Nablus, at Soroka Hospital last night.
In a joint statement, the Commission and the PPS said that Adili had been detained since March 22, 2024, and was sentenced to one year and one month in prison. He was scheduled to be released three days later.
The statement indicated that Adili’s death adds to the list of prisoners, who have been killed as a result of the organized crimes perpetrated by the Israeli occupation prison system in an unprecedented manner since the beginning of the ongoing genocide.
It pointed out that with the killing of detainee Adili, the number of detainees who have been killed since the Israeli aggression has risen to 64. These are the only ones whose identities are known, given the ongoing crime of enforced disappearance. At least 40 of them are from Gaza.
They also renewed their demand for the international human rights system to move forward in taking effective decisions to hold the occupation leaders accountable for the war crimes they continue to commit against the Palestinian people, and to impose sanctions on the occupation.
