GAZA, April 17 (YPA) – A Palestinian journalist and ten members of her family were killed on Wednesday in an Israeli airstrike that targeted their home in Gaza City.
Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes bombed the home of journalist Fatima Hassouneh in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, killing her along with ten of her family members, including women and children.
Hassouneh has been documenting genocide crimes since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip, which has so far resulted in 51,000 martyrs and 116,343 wounded since October 7, 2023.
In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation forces’ artillery shelled the outskirts of Al-Bureij camp and the Al-Dawa area northeast of Al-Nuseirat camp, with no casualties reported.
In the south, medical sources reported a Palestinian man succumbed to wounds sustained in a previous bombardment targeting Khirbat Khuza’a town east of Khan Younis.
Meanwhile, two others were injured when Israeli occupation forces targeted a fishing boat off the coast of Al-Mawasi, west of the city.
The town of Al-Fukhari, east of Khan Younis, witnessed an airstrike targeting a home in Al-Amour neighborhood, in conjunction with artillery shelling on Al-Manara neighborhood south of the city.
In Rafah, Israeli occupation forces continued to blow up residential buildings amid gunfire from drones over the city.
