GAZA, April 14 (YPA) – European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, said that the Israeli occupation’s prevention of humanitarian aid from entering Gaza has caused a humanitarian crisis in the Strip, while aid is piling up outside and rotting food.
Lahbib said came in a statement to describe the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, ahead of a meeting of European Union foreign ministers in Luxembourg.
“There are three urgent priorities in Gaza, where the Israeli occupation forces continue their genocide by resuming the ceasefire and facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid.
Lahbib emphasized that Gaza is being experienced a humanitarian crisis due to the blockade of aid.
She went on to say: “For more than a month, no aid, no food, no electricity, not even a single morsel of bread has been arrived, while warehouses outside Gaza are full of food, which is running in Gaza. At least 100 children are being killed or injured every day.”
Lahbib noted that the first meeting of the high-level political dialogue between the European Union and Palestine would be held with the participation of Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa following the foreign ministers’ meeting.
She said that the meeting participants will discuss opportunities for cooperation, bilateral relations, and meeting the needs of the Palestinian people.
The American supported-the Israeli occupation has been committing genocide in Gaza, resulting in 50,983 martyrs and 116,274 wounded since October 7, 2023.
