TERHRAN, April 14 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry affirmed on Monday that the contradictory US positions would be pushed to conduct indirect negotiations.
“It is impossible to practice a policy of maximum pressure and threats while claiming to seek dialogue at the same time,” the ministry explained said in a statement.
The statement considered its nuclear program peaceful, stressing that the International Atomic Energy Agency repeatedly confirmed that.
It pointed out that the goal of the indirect negotiations with the United States to lift the unjust sanctions imposed against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The ministry noted that the disturbance in the region is solely caused by the apartheid regime, its continued occupation, and genocide, emphasizing the need to lift sanctions effectively and with guarantees regarding the implementation of commitments.
Last Saturday, the Islamic Republic of Iran announced the start of indirect negotiations with the United States in Muscat, Oman.
