OCCUPIED PALESTINE, April 12 (YPA) -Former Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Ehud Olmert warned that “Israel” is closer to a civil war than ever before.
The statement comes amid escalating tensions and deepening divisions within the occupation entity.
In remarks reported by Hebrew media outlets, Olmert strongly criticized what he called “the gang attack sponsored by Netanyahu against the Supreme Court,” describing it as “a new phase in the systematic undermining of state institutions.”
He noted that “the behavior of Netanyahu’s supporters toward the Supreme Court can only be described as a coup, aimed at eroding the state’s democratic institutions and dismantling its legal and constitutional foundations.”
These comments emerge amid intense debate over the judiciary’s role in “Israel” – particularly the Supreme Court’s authority – which faces unprecedented pressure from the far-right “Israeli” extremists.
The occupation entity has witnessed months of mass protests against Netanyahu’s government’s plan to weaken the judicial system, raising concerns about undermining judicial independence and threatening the balance of powers.
Olmert’s warnings reflect the depth of the political crisis and growing societal rift within the occupation entity, now jeopardizing the stability of its entire political and social order.
