WORLD, Apil 12 (YPA) – Denmark’s Eastern High Court decided, on Friday, to dismiss a case filed by organizations concerning the authorities’ role in exporting military technology to the Israeli occupation, amid the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
The lawsuit demands that Danish authorities to halt the export of military technology and the sale of components for F-35 fighter jets to ‘Israel,’ according to reports from online sources.
Around four non-governmental organizations—including the Danish branch of Amnesty International and the Palestinian rights organization ‘Al-Haq’—filed a lawsuit against the Danish Foreign Ministry and police, as they are the decision-making bodies in arms export agreements.
The organizations called on the court to assess whether Danish export permits violate international obligations, including the risk of contributing to war crimes.
