SANAA, April 02 (YPA) – Active to strong winds are expected across the southwestern coast, Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the western Gulf of Aden, with speeds ranging from 14 to 24 knots and gusts exceeding 30 knots, according to the Yemen National Meteorological Center.
The center said these conditions would cause sea turbulence and high waves in the coming hours.
It warned sea-goers and fishermen in the southern Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab Strait, and western Gulf of Aden of the disturbed sea conditions.
In its weather bulletin, the center also predicted light rainfall over parts of the southern and eastern coasts, as well as the Socotra Archipelago.
For desert regions, the center expected sunny and hot weather, with temperatures ranging from 34°C to 37°C in desert areas and 35°C to 39°C in the Tihama Plain. Light to moderate winds may occasionally intensify during the daytime.
The meteorological center has cautioned residents in the desert and Tihama areas about the high temperatures, advising against prolonged direct exposure to sunlight, especially during the noon hours.
In the mountainous highlands, the center forecasted generally clear weather, with relatively cooler temperatures expected at night and early Thursday morning
