US airstrikes target several areas in Yemen’s Saada

SAADA, April 01 (YPA) – The US warplanes launched on Monday a series of airstrikes on Yemen, targeting several areas in Saada province, northern Yemen.

This cane as part of an escalation in US aggression that has been ongoing for several weeks.
This new aggression also came less than 24 hours after similar raids targeted various areas in the same province, in addition to other raids targeting Bani Hashish district, east of the capital Sanaa.

According to local sources, the airstrikes were violent, targeting the districts of Sahar and Majz and other areas in Saada, resulting in widespread destruction of civilian property.

These attacks have been came in the context of the ongoing US military operations against Yemen since March 18, after Sanaa announced the resumption of a ban on Israeli maritime navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from the ongoing Israeli blockade.

This escalation is part of a series of airstrikes carried out by US forces in Yemen over the past few weeks, heightening tensions in the region amid local and international condemnation of the US military intervention.

Pending international and local reactions, the situation in Yemen would remain vulnerable to further escalation, given the ongoing airstrikes and rising regional tensions.
