This escalation is part of a series of airstrikes that US forces carried out against Yemen in recent weeks, heightening tensions in the region amid local and international condemnation of US military intervention.

On Sunday, US aircraft launched violent raids targeting various areas in Saada, north of Yemen, in addition to other raids targeting Bani Hashish district and Al-Qabil Village in Bani Al-Harith district in Sanaa province.

On Friday, Yemeni security sources announced 43 US raids, distributed among 19 in Amran, 8 in Sanaa, 7 in Saada, 4 in Marib, and 3 in Hodeida, as well as to 2 in Jawf provicne. These raids came amid escalating tensions in the region, following Sanaa’s announcement that it would resume its ban on Israeli shipping in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from the ongoing Israeli blockade.

The US attacks raise concerns about the repercussions of the military escalation on the humanitarian situation in Yemen.

Pending international and local reactions, the situation in Yemen remains vulnerable to further escalation, given the ongoing raids and rising regional tensions.
