SANAA, March 12 (YPA) – Yemen’s armed forces declared on Tuesday it would resume the ban on all Israeli occupation’s ships crossing the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and the Gulf of Aden.
Military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarie, affirmed that the ban would take effect after announcing this statement, noting that any Israeli ship that attempts to break this ban will be targeted in the declared operations area.
He said that this ban would continue until the land crossings to the Gaza Strip be reopened and aid, food, and medicine to be allowed to enter.
“The Yemeni armed forces saluted the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank,” the spokesman added. “It will stand by the valiant Palestinian resistance.”
He explained the ban decision came after the deadline that Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, a leader Ansarullah movement, gave to mediators to persuade the Israeli enemy to reopen the crossings and allow aid into the Gaza Strip had expired, and the mediators were unable to achieve that.
