BEIJING, Mar. 10 (YPA) – Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Mao Ning expressed on Monday her country’s concern over the rising number of casualties resulting from armed conflicts in Syria.
Ning stressed the need to stop the violence immediately and protect civilians, noting the importance of dialogue to prepare a reconstruction plan that is consistent with the aspirations of the Syrian people.
In a field development, a UN delegation visited the city of Jableh for the first time on Sunday evening and inspected damaged shops and homes in the presence of members of the authority’s forces.
On the other hand, massacres continue on the Syrian coast for the fourth day at the hands of “Takfiri groups” affiliated with the new administration, amid reports that more than 1,018 people, including women and children, have been killed.
