Kashmir traders boycott Israeli dates during Ramadan

SANAA, March 04 (YPA) – Kashmiri traders said the boycott was a small gesture of support for the Palestinian cause, replacing Israeli dates with varieties from countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran and Morocco.

“We cannot solve Palestine’s problems directly, but we can at least stop supporting those who contribute to their suffering,” a shopkeeper in Lal Chowk said.

Traders in Kashmir are expressing their solidarity with the Palestinians in their own way, saying that boycotting is the least they can do in the face of Israeli oppression and occupation.

One of them added: “If we cannot help them financially, we can at least stop our support for products that come from the occupied territories.”
