Citizen killed, five wounded in Syria clashes

DAMASCUS, Feb. 27 (YPA) – A citizen was killed and five others wounded on Wednesday after the General Security Department’s members opened fire on protesters in Qardaha city of Syria.

Armed elements affiliated with the General Security Department of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham launched a military attack on the city of Qardaha, the birthplace of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Latakia province.

Local residents revealed that the General Security Department “sent more reinforcements to maintain security in the city of Qardaha.
