Hamas refuses to discuss any steps before release of Palestinian prisoners

GAZA, Feb. 23 (YPA) – Hamas leader Mahmoud Mardawi affirmed on Sunday that there would be no talks with the Israeli occupation’s authorities through mediators in any step before the release of Palestinian prisoners.

in a news statement, Mardawi called on the mediators to oblige the occupation authorities to implement the terms of the agreement as stipulated.

Earlier, Hamas strongly condemned the occupation’s decision to postpone the release of Palestinian prisoners, stressing that “the decision once again reveals the occupation’s evasions and its evasion of its obligations.”

On Saturday, 602 Palestinian prisoners were scheduled to be released from the occupation prisons, after the Qassam Brigades released 6 Israeli prisoners held in Gaza, as part of the seventh batch of the Tufan al-Ahrar deal, according to the ceasefire agreement.
