Thousands gather in Sanaa to perform funeral prayers in absentia for Hezbollah’s leaders

SANAA, Feb. 23 (YPA) – Thousands of Yemeni citizens gathered early Sunday morning at Al-Shahab Mosque in Al-Sabeen Square, in the capital, Sanaa, to perform funeral prayers in absentia for the martyrs of Islam and humanity, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayed Hashem Safieddine, may Allah have mercy on them.

The two leaders were martyred on the battlefield while defending religion and humanity, standing in solidarity with Gaza and the resilient Palestinian people.

On Saturday, the Al-Aqsa Committee called for widespread participation in the memorial event and funeral prayer for the martyrs. In their statement, the committee said, “We invite you to attend the memorial event and perform funeral prayers in absentia for the martyr of Islam and humanity, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and the martyred Secretary-General, Sayed Hashem Safieddine, at Al-Shahab Mosque at 9:30 AM on Sunday.”

The gathering reflects the Yemeni people’s deep respect and solidarity with the cause of Palestine and the sacrifices made by these leaders in defense of justice and humanity.
