GAZA, Feb. 22 (YPA) – The Palestinian Resistance Movement “Hamas” confirmed on Saturday its readiness for the second phase of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with the Israeli occupation after releasing six Israeli prisoners as part of the first phase.
The movement stressed the need to adhere to the agreement to achieve a comprehensive exchange, a permanent ceasefire, and a complete withdrawal of the occupation.
Hamas stated that the release of the prisoners by the Al-Qassam Brigades took place amidst a large popular presence, indicating its commitment to the agreement despite the occupation’s procrastination.
It warned against attempts to evade, stressing that honest negotiation is the only way to return the prisoners.
