Hamas: we ready for a comprehensive exchange deal to achieve permanent ceasefire and full withdrawal
GAZA, Feb. 22 (YPA) – The Islamic resistance Movement ” Hamas”, confirmed its readiness to move to the second phase of the agreement, aiming for a permanent ceasefire and the full withdrawal of the occupation, with a comprehensive prisoner exchange.
In a statement, Hamas emphasized that the release of six Israeli prisoners today reaffirms its commitment to the agreement, while the occupation delays its implementation. The exchange highlights Palestinian unity, contrasting with the occupation’s division and accusations.
The movement further clarified that the Israeli public faces a dilemma: either receive their soldiers in coffins, as happened on Thursday due to Netanyahu’s arrogance, or welcome them alive by adhering to the terms set by the resistance.
Hamas warned against any attempts by the occupation to evade the agreement, stressing that the only way for prisoners to return is through sincere negotiations and adherence to the agreement.
The movement condemned Netanyahu’s attempts to divert attention from his army’s defeat in Gaza by committing massacres in the West Bank, asserting that such actions will not break the Palestinian people’s will.
“Our treatment of prisoners is based on our religious teachings and humanitarian values, while our prisoners in the occupation’s jails endure various forms of torture and oppression,” the statement read.
The movement condemned the occupation’s prevention of prisoners’ families from traveling, calling it a violation of human rights and international law.
Hamas further emphasized that “the Palestinian people, led by the Al-Qassam Brigades, will continue the struggle in defense of their land and sanctities, striving for liberation, return, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.”
