Tensions erupt at Al-Wadea Border Crossing after colonel denied entry

HADRAMOUT, Feb. 20 (YPA) – Tension erupted at the Al-Wadea border crossing with the kingdom, between the former Border Protection Battalion and the Saudi-backed ‘Dera Al-Watan’ forces, after Colonel Bassam Al-Najjar from the Operations Battalion was barred from entering.

According to local sources, Colonel Al-Najjar attempted to enter the crossing to visit one of his friends but was stopped and sent back, causing the tension between the two sides to escalate.

Members of the Border Protection Battalion expressed their dissatisfaction with these measures, calling for a quick resolution to the dispute to avoid any potential escalation.

The situation at the crossing remains tense, with calls for dialogue and understanding between the concerned parties to resolve the differences.
