SAADA, Feb. 16 (YPA) – The local authority in Saada province condemned on Sunday the UN’s suspension of aid programs in the province, considering the decision to be politically motivated.
The authority pointed out the absence of UN projects during the Israeli aggression on Gaza, except for the huge operating expenses of its organizations. It considered the suspension of aid to be a collective punishment for the Yemeni people as a result of their position rejecting the crimes of Gaza.
In turn, Saada Governor Mohammed Awad stressed that reducing aid since Yemen’s support for Palestine until its complete suspension reflects a dangerous politicization of humanitarian work and a violation of international laws.
