GAZA, Feb. 15 (YPA) – The Hamas movement condemned on Saturday the Israeli occupation violations against Palestinian prisoners, describing them as a violation of humanitarian laws.
The movement stressed in a press statement that “the complete victory can only be achieved by liberating all prisoners from the Israeli occupation’s prisons.”
Hamas considered the release of Palestinian prisoners an important national step on the path to liberation and return to Al-Quds (Jerusalem), stressing that this case is one of its main priorities.
It explained that the resistance’s release of three Israeli prisoners obliges the occupation to fulfill the humanitarian agreements and protocols, calling for the immediate start of the second phase negotiations without delay or procrastination.
The movement also praised the unity of the Palestinian people and the role of the resistance in thwarting the displacement projects and previous occupation plans.
Hamas emphasized the resistance’s commitment to treating the occupation’s prisoners ethically, which highlights the clear contradiction between the occupation’s practices and the humanitarian principles to which the resistance adheres.
