Death toll from Israeli aggression on Gaza rises to 48,264

GAZA, Feb. 15 (YPA) – The Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip announced on Saturday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip has risen to 48,264, and the number of injured to 111,688 since the outbreak of the war on October 7, 2023.

The daily report stated that 25 martyrs were pulled from under the rubble and 12 injuries were reported during the last 48 hours.

The ministry confirmed that there are still victims under the rubble and on the roads, as conditions prevent ambulance and civil defense teams from reaching them.

For his part, the undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Gaza indicated that medical assistance does not meet 20% of urgent needs.

He warned of “the policy of manipulating the introduction of aid by delaying the necessary to keep Gaza under a strict siege that cannot rebuild itself.”

A spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf Al-Qudra, said that the Israeli occupation forces did not abide by the health protocol stipulated in the ceasefire agreement, which led to the exacerbation of the health conditions in the Strip.

Al-Qudra explained that the Israeli occupation hinders the exit of patients and the wounded to receive treatment abroad, as it allows only 40 patients and wounded daily, despite the urgent need to raise this number to 150 people daily.
