WEST BANK, Feb. 06 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale arrest campaign targeting several cities and villages in the West Bank last night and early this morning as part of their ongoing escalating aggression.
In the town of Attil, north of Tulkarm, Israeli occupation soldiers arrested Ghassan al-Tahlawi and ransacked the contents of his home, causing extensive damage.
In the Far’a refugee camp, south of Tubas, Israeli forces carried out intensive searches, including field investigations with residents while storming their homes, as part of the military campaign that entered its fifth consecutive day.
In the town of Burqin, west of Jenin, the occupation forces arrested the young man Yazan al-Shaib from his home and also arrested the wanted man Muhammad Abu Khalifa, known as “Jamaica,” from Jenin camp.
In the city of Nablus, Israeli forces stormed a number of sites, including the Krom Ashour area, the village of Salem east of the city, the town of Burqin west of Jenin, Balata camp east of Nablus, and Shuafat camp in Al-Quds (Jerusalem). During these raids, they arrested the young man Mahmoud Khalil Shehadeh from Balata camp and withdrew from the city after arresting Omar Harzallah from Tal Street.
In Al-Quds, the occupation forces arrested the Jerusalemite Amin Muhammad Al-Abbasi from his home in the Ein Al-Lawza neighborhood in the town of Silwan.
These arrests come in the context of the ongoing aggression targeting the West Bank, amid increasing calls to confront this aggression and escalate resistance in all its forms.
